Thank You to Those Who Hosted Soldiers for Thanksgiving
The 2009 Holiday Connection program was a great success; thank you to all who made it possible.  46 soldiers from Ft Carson were able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with citizens in the local community.  Several soldiers made it up to the Denver area and were featured in a Channel 9 News story http://www.9news.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=52753625001

CSC "Boost for the Brave" Project Ships 241 Boxes to 4th Brigade

The 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Carson (4/4) is now deployed to Afghanistan.  CSC  launched the “Boost for the Brave” Project in order to gather and provide  items to help make their deployment a bit more bearable.  On Sunday, September 27, 2009, CSC shipped 211 boxes (over 800 lbs) of assorted food and non-food items to the Brigade.

We wish to thank the many volunteers who helped make this project a success.  And, thanks to the community who once again demonstrated their generosity in providing so many items.  A special thanks to 5 Star Bank for their generosity.

Below are some photos of volunteers in action, and a sampling of the many items we received.

The finished boxes stacked up ready for pick-up by the Army added up to 116 boxes of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and assorted toiletries, and 95 boxes of dry soup mixes, dry drink powders, granola bars, snacks, hard candies, and other food items.

CSC plans another "Boost for the Brave" project in 2010.  Watch this site for more information on how to contribute.
